What is funded? Funding is provided on the one hand for the costs of in-service training and on the other hand for wage costs during the training. In this way, employees can let their work rest during the further training with full salary, while their employer is financially relieved. How high is the subsidy? The state covers between 15% and 100% of the further training costs depending on the size of the company. Irrespective of this, the subsidy for older and severely disabled people can be up to 100%. The wage costs during further training are subsidized with 25% to 75% depending on the size of the company. Social security contributions will be funded at a flat rate of 50% from January 1st, 2022. Who is funded? Funding is available for "normal" professionals who, in consultation with their employer, would like to complete future-oriented further training in order to renew and expand their knowledge and skills . The aim is to consolidate their current position against the background of structural and digital change or to enable career changes and further development within the company. The last comparable further training or original training must be at least four years ago. Information on the specific individual funding opportunities through the Qualification Opportunities Act can be obtained from the Employer Service (AGS) of the Employment Agency (Tel. 0800 4 55 55 20).
