What is funded?

The “Zukunftsstarter” initiative supports young adults over the age of 25 in catching up on a professional qualification.


Who is sponsored?

Funding is available for full-time or part-time qualifications that prepare for a recognized professional qualification. This can be done, for example, through retraining or a course at an educational institution that prepares for the so-called "external examination".


What costs are covered?

The costs of the training allowance, costs for qualification, travel costs and childcare costs can be covered. You may receive a bonus if you pass the intermediate or final exam.


What are the requirements?

Zukunftsstarter is aimed at the following groups of people:

    Low-skilled unemployed and employees who do not have a vocational qualificationLow-skilled unemployed and employees with a vocational qualification if they have been in semi-skilled or unskilled work for 4 years and no longer practice the learned activityReturning to work or re-entering the workforce
